Soccer seemed to go by pretty quick. We missed the middle of the month long ‘season’ and then had 3 games left. Tommy really did do better about getting the ball, but he would only kick it one time, then watch the other kiddos go after it. He also did fairly well as a goalie. He got a little soccer trophy at the end and wouldn’t let it go for a few hours. It was with us after the game when we went to Chili’s for lunch with Ethan and his parents. Ethan’s dad, Brian, works with Matt and they also live just around the corner from us. Ethan is moving on to tee-ball but we decided to wait on that for Tommy.
He just started a gymnastics class offered by the Amarillo college and he LOVES LOVES LOVES it already. It’s a semester long class, going from September to December for one hour, once a week (Tuesdays). Apparently that’s not long enough because he did NOT want to leave when it was over. There are about 8 other kids in the class and one other boy (so he’s not the only one). This is a 3-5 aged class and parents are not able to watch. Although, they left the door open to the gymnasium so upon chasing Tyler around the lobby, we also snuck in a few peaks. They first did lots of stretching and then Ms. Brandy taught them the beginning of a backbend. It was pretty funny to see Tommy try and get into that position
There are two parent watch days, the end of September and November. Unfortunately, Grandma will just miss seeing him. Her flight leaves in the middle of his class
. But I’ll take lots of pics and hopefully Matt will be able to make it!

High-Fivin’ the other team
This was most of his team. There were two other girls that didn’t make it that day. Apparently he doesn’t remember them because today he told me I couldn’t play soccer since I was a girl… just him and Dad. I said, “Did you have girls on your soccer team?” He said, “Just Michael and Ethan.” umph….

Ethan (or Efan as Tommy says it….it’s driving me crazy!)
