Fort Worth Zoo

I thought it would be fun to take Tommy to the zoo for the first time. Here he is lathering on the sunscreen. Although he is a bit young, and it was pretty warm, it turned out pretty good.

He loved only three things:

1. Waterfalls

2. Trees

2. Birds

He wasn't sure quite what to think at first, and here's the look that says it all!

The gorillas weren't moving fast enough but their waterfall was...

This was a big area caged for birds. There was a beautiful blue parakeet that came close to Tommy. He stared for awhile and then tried to grab him!

More birds above us. The birds were so brightly colored and always moving, which held Tommy's attention. But soon after that....

Too much zoo and all tuckered out!


The hat Tommy had on is a Houston Zoo hat his Grammy bought him. We couldn't leave without getting him a Fort Worth Zoo hat!

Mid 20's FOREVER

I had a great birthday on Thursday, although I wasn't happy about celebrating being 26. Everyone I talk to says, "oh, please" but they are older than me and don't understand. Anyway, I plan on saying I'm in my mid 20's for a good while!

My day started out with a gift from Matt and Tommy. It is a Willow tree statue of a mom holding her little boy. Here is Tommy trying to eat it. We took some pictures trying to duplicate it. He would only cooperate for a few though!

I also got a funny card. You see tommy eating that also, pretty excited about that huge binky! Inside says, " You know mom, Life without you would really suck! Happy Birthday" I thought it was really cute. Tommy and I had a fun day. The Orkin man came to spray our house because there was a HUGE spider in our kitchen and that was end of that! (a wolf spider). That night Matt, Tommy, Autrey, and I went to Italiani's for dinner. Yummy! All in all it was a good day and we continued to celebrate come the weekend...

Tommy's first pool has a palm tree over it for shade. The water was a bit cooler than he's used to so he wasn't super smiley but he did have fun! I couldn't get a video since I was by myself but there will definitely be more pool time!

This video is a bit blurry because it was taken with my phone. I couldn't find my camera right away. He first did this when I layed todays mail on the floor. He bolted to it before I could pick it up! I then had to use the remote to get him to do it again.
