Mother's Day in Ruidoso

They're both asleep on the way to Nana's... With a teddy graham box!

Petting MISS Earl . Tyler was infatuated with the cats...or 'DATS!' as he said/yelled every time they ran by, or he thought about them...

After hanging out with Nana Friday, we met Mimi and Papa at Old Road...a family favorite

The rental house had an amazing view!

Saturday we went to the park and flew kites. Tommy lasted quite awhile and like running with it immediately after Matt threw it up in the air....despite what he was told to do:)

Love this dude! It was a little chilly with sprinking rain so we hung out in the car for a bit with Mimi and Nana.

Papa said, "Everyone underestimates the tail." So there is HIS tail...his hat attached:) and it flew great!
He finally got to play at the park!

On Sunday I came down the stairs to see these cute goobers and cute homemade picture frame from the boys. They are too too precious:)

We gave Mimi her homemade card and picture from the boys (painstaking to get Tommy to write all of, "Mimi, I love you..." and his name. I had to finish the "..to pieces" (with torn pieces of paper in a heart shape) because it just wasn't worth the battle! Granted he had to do Nana's and Grandma's too:)

This looks bad but Tyler can definitely start a fight too!

Nana's garden stone....it didn't dry like I thought it would, making it hard to read....it says We love you nana, may 2013

Playing at Nana's

Happy Mother's Day! Especially to my own mom who we got to spend 2 weeks with this month! Love ya~

Sick Little Boys

5.9.13
These little guys have been sick with colds and ear infections.... Tyler's started last week with low grade fevers and Tommy complained about his right ear Monday night. It's awful to have happen but nice that he can TELL me when they're hurting. I thought we were over the ear infections at his age...ugh. Tyler was on antibiotics but I miss-read the dosage and gave him way too much at once, for a couple days. Thankfully he was ok, but I could tell it hurt his tummy. So when it was time to take Tommy in, I had his ears rechecked (1st doc visit was at urgent care) and they still weren't fully healed, so we did an antibiotic shot for fear more oral medicine would cause more upset stomach...I must be completely losing it....3.5 ml is not 3.5 teaspoons! You'd think I've given enough antibiotics before to realize this.

I have also come down with a cold which has stopped my Amarillo Boot Camp progress.... I was doing so well too:(

Anyway, these goobers, despite feeling yucky, have played together the last couple days, in my bed and around the house much of the morning. I love it! It really melts my heart:)

Tommy picked out Cinderella at the library and was completely enthralled (pic on the couch). When it first started he said, 'maybe they'll be fighting in this!'.... He didn't seem disappointed with it, but told Daddy when he got home, that 'there was NO fighting in Cinderella.'
And when they were dancing at the ball he said, 'I guess they're in love.' My sick little prince is so cute:)

Who me?

And my Tyler sits on the couch with the most adorable feet and toes in the world! I could eat them up (well, I often do;)

Also, on the 29th we got our new mini vanSmile The truck was going to need MAJOR repairs to where Matt didn’t feel comfortable driving it on the freeway anymore. So we decided to look into another car….debating between SUV’s and vans….the gas mileage is better and the cargo space in vans blows Suv’s out of the water (if you’re using the third row) and I love love love, the automatic doors! Mini-van wins! We did get the truck sold to a friend a few months later, that didn’t need it for a main vehicle. We found the van we liked online, since buying new, and they were much cheaper in the Dallas area. So Matt picked it up  in McKinney while in Fort Worth for work. We picked the Honda Odyssey, liking that we can move all the back seats in any way or take them all out if needed. I really liked the model of the newest vans out…to me it doesn’t look AS MUCH AS a mini van….Matt completely disagrees, but still likes it!  Now our car trips will be much more bearable, with me being able to sit next to the kiddos to entertain and help, rather than turning around from the front seat and REALLY getting carsick.
