Cowboys Game

Matt's friend from work gave us tickets to the Cowboys game last night. It will probably be my first and last NFL game, considering it was free (except parking ;(, and the fact that it was on a Monday night rather than Sunday. The stadium was unbelievable! We didn't take many pics because Tommy didn't last very long. It was incredibly loud! But the picture from the outside gives you a glimpse of its size. You can kind of see the TV inside (largest in the world!) The other pic is Tommy with earplugs. He looks like Shrek! They didn't do much so we left a little before half time, but it was still neat just to be inside!

8 is GREAT!

Everytime Tommy turns another month older I think, "This is definitely my favorite age." The next month comes, and I think, "OK, now THIS is my favorite age." I can't foresee it, but it truly does get better and better! Being a mom is the best!
He is so much fun and hilarious at 8 months old, as you'll see in these photos. There's no exciting event happening, just our little family loving life! He still has 6 teeth and we think more are coming! He loves all fruit he's tried so far and he's pretty good about vegetables. Broccoli was spit back out, the first time he'd ever been THAT clear about disliking a food. He likes his cereal in the mornings as well as yogurt.
He is pulling up on everything and standing very well! Once he pulls himself up he looks to see who's watching him and gives you the biggest, proudest, grin, saying'Hey I did it!'
We love him soooo much!!!!

Already sticking his tongue out at mama! He knows he can get away with anything!

I think this picture is soo cute! He looks too big for his age, sitting on his feet, just playing.

Colorado!

We had a great Labor Day weekend in Estes Park, Colorado. It's a beautiful little town about
1 and 1/2 hours from Denver. We stayed in a really nice home and mainly relaxed. The weather was cool and a great relief from the Texas heat. Here are some pics of the trip!

Matt and I rode a pedal cart, along with Autrey and Shilo, around a lake. Just off the path were these moose taking a bath.

We played mini golf twice and Tommy was so good! He enjoyed watching us and ESPECIALLY his cousin Maggie. (who got a hole-in-one by the way! Matt says, 'she's definitely related to me')

Morning slumber party in Grammy's bed!

Tommy and Dad-so cute in his lumber jack shirt, so apropos for the Rockies!

The awesome mountains.

We went on a hike around Bear Lake.

Tommy looked adorable in his new hoody from Crystal! Thank you!

Tommy discovered a new teether on the way back-Daddy's hat!

All hiked out!

Being up there made me miss Utah so much! But I savored the beautiful scenery as much as I could!

Family photo near the cabin.

Maggie told us Tommy needed to go for a swing at this park near the cabin. He fit perfectly but wasn't quite sure what to think of it. Maggie is always thinking of Tommy- she's the best cousin ever!

On our walk....notice the flowers in the background.

This river was our cabin's backyard! The sound of it was so relaxing.

Morning cheerio time with Dad. Tommy is still learning the "pincer grasp" and occasionally gets a cheerio in his mouth. Looks like he got that one!

On the plane to Denver. Tommy ate, then slept most of the way! Such a good boy!

When we landed we headed to the Denver Zoo.

Tommy is loooking at a turtle that's under the tree.

We rode the train at the Zoo. Tommy was more impressed with that water bottle than he was with his first train ride.

After feeding Tommy in the car, he decided it was his turn to try out the rental car.

Grilling out on the deck. Yummy hamburgers thanks to Matt, Crystal, and Natalie! Their fruit salad was my favorite though!

Maggie is such a doll! She is everyone's sunshine!

Mr. Official Crawler and other priceless pics!

Our son, the official crawler! He crawled for the first time last Thursday. I was in the bathroom getting his bath ready and he came crawling in, a little wobbly but on his hands and knees. I went to get the camera but when I came back, he was done with that! So here is a video I did get, now that he's just about a master crawler. So precious!

The other day Tommy ventured across the kitchen for the first time and realized the windowsill was just his height. At first I got scared and got him down, but the second time I realized he had a pretty good balance and it was the cutest thing! So I grabbed my camera. He's just catching the view!

Tommy is now pulling up on everything! It was the oddest thing to see him up on his knees in his crib. He is usually crying when he's in this position, waiting for me to come get him.

Such a cutie pie!

Eating papaya in his mesh food toy?? Not sure what it's really called but they're great! He loves it!

Tommy doesn't need pajamas that say "Cutest Kid Ever" but it sure doesn't hurt!
