Halloween-Boo at the Zoo and Trunk or Treat

Mimi and Papa came up to spend Halloween weekend with us. We went to Boo at the Zoo with them, and Autrey, Shilo, and Dylan. There were little treat spots and small games Tommy could play. It was a little warm in the sun, but there was plenty of shade. I would definitely go back next year.

Saturday morning we let Tommy scoop out the seeds of a pumpkin.

He had to show his Beloved Papa ;) 

and the Elmo 

Mimi played a ghost and would say Boo! Then Tommy took a turn being the ghost. He loved this game. 

His Cowboy costume-looking sharp! He had a felt hat Mimi bought him, a pearl snap shirt we got at Cavenders, Matt's belt buckle, and an authentic badge that said, Sherrif Tom. Sam and Alex bought this for him in Colorado. It was perfect!

He would say Howdy on demand. When asked to say "trick or treat" he only got out the "treat"

This is the only smile I could get and it took some fruit snacks!

Whoa back! 

We made a stop at Cavendars where Mimi bought Tommy and Dylan matching boots. She also got him a belt and buckle that actually fit! He was REALLY sharp!

Playing the games at Boo at the Zoo. They would get to pick a prize after each one and everytime Tommy picked an animal straw.We have plenty!

I tried to get Tommy to pick the little dum-dum sucker, but he went for the tootsie pop, of course. That made his whole day. 

We took a ride on the zoo's train. I love that Dylan in the background!

I didn't get a picture of it, but just after this, Dylan turned over and kind of mawled Tommy. Tommy just took it and layed there like a slug. He gave us a look of "are you seeing this?" It was pretty funny.

After the zoo we had a late lunch, and then headed to Autrey and Shilo's trunk or treat where they had this little bounce house. Time to come out! 

Thanks to Autrey, he got to go in the big bounce house. 

THEN, we went to our ward's trunk or treat. A friend in the ward made these chaps for her little boy and she let me borrow them...so cute!

This is cute cowgirl Jane. Her mom made the chaps Tommy's wearing.  

They weren't sure what to think of each other.
