Michelle and Austin!

We went to Austin last-minute to see my step-sister Michelle. She was down for a friend's birthday and was done with those festivities Saturday. We got there around 4 and stayed at a Hilton because Matt had free night from all of his work travel. yay! The first thing Tommy had to do was enjoy the view.

Third, sightsee.

We walked to the Capital. It wasn't that far, but it was pretty hot. They are currently working on it.

We ate at a pretty good place downtown. I just had chicken fingers and shared with Tommy, but his burger was really good. We sat outside, and there was, of course, music. It was close to 6th street after all. Tommy liked the guitarist. He even played the itsy bitsy spider.

 Then we had to go swimming to cool off. Matt would throw Tommy in the air and catch him. He loved it!
Sunday afternoon Tommy finally got to meet his Aunt! She was so excited to see him! At first when he tried to say her name, it sounded like 'cereal.' But by the end of the visit, when she left to the airport, he started whining saying, 'shell!' 'shell!' It was really cute.

Michelle first wanted to go to Mellow Johnny's bike shop. It is owned by Lance Armstrong and she's a big fan. It was pretty ridiculous how much that stuff costs! This bike caught Tommy's eye.

Michelle was his little backseat buddy. She was really impressed he could move the ball on her Blackberry. Thankfully he didn't break it!

On our way back from lunch, Tommy had to chase a bird. Michelle was snapping lots of pics with her cool camera!

Then Michelle had looked up Jim Jim's Ice Water. It was long hot walk, but ended up being worth it-a fantastic snowcone! Tommy had my strawberry-kiwi flavor. His lips looked a lot redder in person.

We found a little spot by the river to pull over and take a picture of all of us. Can you tell it was windy? Poor Michelle had to set her camera on a tree branch and run to us, just in time for the picture. This was the best it was going to get!

We haven't seen Michelle in over 5 years so it was really, really good to see her! I'm so glad we went!
