It was the first of 4 snowy/icy, long, house ridden days. Poor Tommy wanted to play in it so bad but not only was it ridiculously cold (20’s as the high), he was sick with a lot of congestion and a bad cough. He didn’t sleep well because he couldn’t breathe, but he was happy during the days.
All of this snow on Tuesday turned to ice. It never warmed up and the sun was rarely out which resulted in school closures through Friday! It snowed quite a bit on Friday morning, but the sun finally came out. Matt went to California and amazingly flew back home Tuesday night, despite the airport being completely shut down that morning. He had a scary drive home and said driving out of the airport was like driving on an ice rink. He worked from home Wednesday but made it in the rest of the week.
We had to keep busy inside so we did plenty of bounce house, painting, play-dough, and drawing. By Friday we were absolutely stir crazy! I did let him check the mail;)
Saturday we finally made it out of the house and ran some errands! Sad how nice that really was;)
